Detail Description

3M Adper Single Bond 2 is a fifth-generation, total-etch, light-cured dental adhesive designed for reliable bonding to both enamel and dentin. It incorporates nanofiller technology to ensure stable suspension and consistent application, delivering strong and durable adhesion in a wide range of restorative procedures.

The formulation includes a moisture-tolerant system that enhances bonding performance even on slightly moist dentin, helping reduce postoperative sensitivity and improving marginal sealing. It is widely used in direct composite restorations as well as indirect restorative procedures when used with compatible resin cements.

• Product Type: Total-etch dental adhesive

• Generation: 5th generation bonding system

• Application: Enamel, dentin, composite, porcelain, metal (with indirect systems)

• Composition: Nanofilled adhesive (silica ~5 nm particles)

• Technique: Total-etch (etch-rinse-bond) system

• Viscosity: Low, flowable adhesive solution

• Compatibility: Direct and indirect restorative materials

• Etch enamel and dentin with 32–35% phosphoric acid for ~15 seconds

• Rinse thoroughly and gently blot to maintain moist dentin surface

• Dispense adhesive without shaking the bottle

• Apply generously and actively scrub for ~15 seconds

• Air thin gently to evaporate solvent and ensure uniform film

• Light cure for ~10 seconds (or ~5 seconds with high-intensity LED)

• Multiple coats may be applied for improved sealing in moist conditions

• Proceed immediately with composite or luting procedures after curing

• Avoid contamination during application for optimal bond strength
