Detail Description

3M ESPE Astringent Retraction Paste is a gingival retraction and hemostatic material designed to provide fast, gentle, and effective soft-tissue management before impression taking or restorative procedures. It contains 15% aluminum chloride, enabling rapid control of gingival bleeding while temporarily displacing soft tissue for clear margin exposure.

Delivered in capsule form for direct intra-sulcular application, the paste offers a minimally invasive alternative to traditional retraction cords. It works quickly within 1–2 minutes, improving workflow efficiency and patient comfort in both digital and conventional impression techniques.
