Detail Description

The 3M Unitek Transbond™ MIP (Moisture Insensitive Primer) 6ml is an advanced light-cure orthodontic bonding primer specifically formulated to deliver reliable bracket adhesion in environments where complete moisture control is challenging. Designed to perform effectively in the presence of slight moisture contamination, it is particularly beneficial when bonding posterior teeth, partially erupted teeth, or patients with excessive salivation.

Its moisture-tolerant formulation enhances the bond between etched enamel and orthodontic adhesives, helping reduce bracket failures and improve treatment efficiency. The clear, light-curable formula provides excellent visibility during application and allows clinicians complete control over working time before curing.

Instructions for Use:

Clean tooth surfaces thoroughly using pumice and rinse well.
Gently air dry the teeth, leaving the enamel slightly moist without pooling water.
Etch enamel surfaces with 37% phosphoric acid for 15–30 seconds.
Rinse thoroughly and blot dry; avoid over-drying the etched enamel.
Apply a thin, uniform layer of Transbond™ MIP Primer using a microbrush or applicator.
Gently air-thin the primer for even distribution.
Light cure the primer for approximately 5 seconds using a compatible LED or halogen curing light.
Apply orthodontic adhesive to the bracket base.
Position the bracket and complete the bonding procedure according to clinical requirements.
